Soul & Surface-My Intentions

Soul & Surface: My Intentions for a Handcrafted Life

At 66 years old, I’ve realized that aging isn’t for the faint of heart. It requires skill, navigation, and a bit of grace. Often, the mind wants to go one way, the body goes another, and the spirit seems to take far too many naps!

I have lived on the creative side since childhood. After stints in corporate offices and a rewarding career as a painting contractor and artist, my passion for learning remains as strong as ever. While I once let peer influence guide me, I’ve learned that the most important answers come from asking the right questions—and looking back at the wisdom of our elders.

Reclaiming Traditional Wisdom in a Modern World

I grew up in a world of scratch-made meals, family gardens, and natural remedies. Over time, I watched those traditions get replaced by “new ideas,” pills, and powders. Today, the world feels out of balance.

Healthy Life Creative Life is my way of reclaiming the generational playbook. I’m moving away from digital perfection to bring back the “soul” of handcrafted living.

Our Core Objectives: Why We Are Here

My goal is to help you lead your home with intention rather than reacting to daily chaos. We focus on four core objectives:

  • Bridge Creativity and Wellness: Creativity is a vital problem-solving tool for every part of life—from your kitchen to your backyard garden.

  • Establish a “Haven”: We provide the resources you need to build a non-toxic home environment where health and creativity thrive together.

  • Restore Traditional Wisdom: We share “lost” knowledge on holistic housekeeping, natural maintenance, and sustainable gardening.

  • Cultivate Wholeness: Through The Upper Room, we nurture the connection between Mind (learning), Body (toxin-free living), and Spirit (faith).

The Three Pillars of a Healthy, Creative Life

We organize our journey into three distinct areas of focus:

Section Our Focus
The Haven Home organization, non-toxic living, and healthy kitchen management.
The Plot Backyard and windowsill gardening, canning, and food storage.
The Upper Room Creative problem-solving, spiritual growth, and mental clarity.

Let’s Reclaim the Journey Together

Thank you for walking this path with me. While no one person can change the world alone, we can make a lasting difference—one home, one garden, and one heart at a time.

Let’s do this together! Check back often for new insights, and until then…

Stay Inspired!
